OUR STORY
Having traveled and lived in cities around the world, Minnie and Ishi, a mother-daughter duo, immersed themselves in wildly different cultures. During her traveling years in the Aviation industry, Minnie stumbled upon lesser-known gemstones and discovered a passion. After graduating from Asia's first gemological school (Asian Institute of Gemological Sciences), Minnie created fine signature pieces for a niche clientele.
The daughter, Ishi, grew up in melting pots like India, Bangkok, Hong Kong, London, and New York. So naturally, she's drawn to art and jewelry. Before pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Biology in the UK, Ishi spent a summer studying Industrial Design intensively at the Rhode Island School of Design. Loving how jewelry elevated her everyday looks, Ishi experimented with numerous styles using fast-fashion accessories, quickly realizing how bad it is for her skin and the environment. This experience sparked her passion for designing jewelry.
After years of straying from art, together, they dream of living hand in hand with creativity, creating everyday jewelry that transcends trends and time.
Thus, Grandeur Gems was born.
